Walk in a Haunted Wood

Although Katie wished to be a Halloween kitty
for a little while she wanted to stretch her legs.
So she made another wish on a shooting star

and climbed out of her trick or treat sack.

She wanted to follow the fairies into the woods.

They promised to show the magical pumpkin trail.

At first the pumpkins were cute  and entertaining

but as Katie wandered further along the trail things got darker

and more frightening.

Katie began to wonder if this was a good idea.

This was scarier than she had expected.
Katie started looking for a shooting star.   (oh please!)

What she found was a grinning Bumble.  Katie made her wish.
Suddenly there was a very bright light.

Katie found herself back in her Trick or Treat sack safely back home.
My beautiful friend Katie is a OOAK creation from the imagination of Sonia Rodriguez
The carved pumpkins were among many featured in the haunted parks and forests of the Wisconsin State Park system.
