Awesome, I love those two old guys. They’re hysterical. Miss Piggy you can always count on for a laugh too! Thanks for joining us this week. HAPPY HOLIDAYS, and I hope you play along next week too! Have a good one.

The Muppet Show was never intended as a kids show. Henson was tired of being labeled as a kids puppet performer and he set out to attract the adult audience. Guest performers never appeared twice – although John Denver did appear in 2 specials and 2 different versions of the show. After the first season, guests were fighting to get on. It was also originally a British show. Their idea of family entertainment is quite different from American shows. Also, the preschooler audience that Seseme Street targeted were too young to understand many of the inuendoes of this series.

  6. I loved the Muppet Show and we knew it was never meant to be for kids. The jokes were so over the heads of some of my friends even.
Thanks for sharing these two videos, I really loved the first one of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” – I think it’s probably one of my favorite versions of that song! HaHa
Have a fantastic week, hope you play along again next Monday!
